Perception and Interpretation of Information in Textual and Graph-Based Representations.

Dear Participant,

You are invited to take part in a study examining how individuals perceive, interpret, and evaluate information presented through textual and graphical representations across different professional and academic backgrounds.

The survey will take approximately 10-12 minutes to complete. You will be presented with a series of information displays and asked to complete several short sets of questions for each display.

Please respond based on your own judgment and experience. There are no correct or incorrect answers; we are interested in your honest evaluation.

For analytical purposes, response times may be recorded for selected question sets.

Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two graph-based visualizations. All other survey components remain the same.

A progress bar at the top of each page indicates your completion status.

Before beginning, you will find brief information regarding voluntary participation and data protection on the next page.

If you have any questions about completing the survey, please contact Jolanta Wartini-Twardowska (j.wartini_twardowska@ue.katowice.pl).

The survey will remain open until 31 March 2026.

Thank you very much for your time and participation.
